Last Updated on Friday, 24 July 2009 06:55
On 18 July 2009 a young man returning from the Worm was injured on the causeway. Whilst stepping across a rock pool he slipped, falling in to the pool, taking his weight on his chest. As well as being in some shock his breathing was impaired and it took him and his friend an hour to get up the cliff to the lookout.
He was made comfortable in the lookout and the emergency services were contacted. The Air Ambulance was called out and the man was airlifted from outside the lookout and taken to Morriston Hospital.
