Contract Bridge
The funds of NCI Worms Head are better off today to the tune of £431 thanks to the efforts of Marie Richard and a small team of helpers.
Marie, a keen bridge player herself, organised a bridge afternoon in Pennard yesterday.
In the interval between the two card playing sessions tea and cakes were served to the players and at the end of the afternoon a raffle was drawn and the excess cakes - not served with the teas - were sold.
Between the entry fees, the raffle and the sale of cakes a stunning £431 was raised.
Last year Marie organised a similar event with a very similar outcome and our grateful thanks go to her and her small team of helpers.
