15ft Dog

Heard on the VHF on the morning of 22 September 2008
A report to the Coastguard warning of a 15ft dog in the sea off Combe Martin.
Hmm...
The report went on to say that this 15ft log also had 10ft branches. Thank goodnes for that - a log not a dog! The Coastguard replied there was not a lot they could do, but they would put out a one off warning.
A few moments later the message went out over the VHF.
It has been reported there is a 15ft twig off Combe Martin that may be a hazard to small vessels.
Hmm...
Dog, log, twig - whatever - just don't hit it, it's 15ft.
