Oldest and Youngest?
Sunday 3rd August, watchkeepers played host to the oldest and youngest visitors to the Look Out.
During the morning watch Alan Jackson and Roger Waymark were asked to "baby sit" a ninety four year old gentleman while his daughter made the crossing to Worms Head. I'm not sure who looked after whom as I understand the gentleman kept our duo enthralled with tales of his world war two experiences until his daughter returned.
The second visitor, just six weeks old, spent what we hope was a satisfying half hour while his mother breast fed him in the privacy of the back room, the door being guarded against intruders by Frank Rott and myself.
The baby's grateful mother, who hailed from Thailand, was happy to make a unique entry in the visitors book.
