Kathleen and May

Further to the Ghost Ship article, a positive ID has been established by Roger Winser.
The ship photographed by Jeff on 3rd June is the three-masted schooner "Kathleen and May". This 1900 built vessel attended the Dublin Docklands Festival held between 29th May and 1st June 2009, leaving Dublin on 1st June 2009 heading for her home port of Bideford before going to Bristol and then to south Devon. You can confirm this by contacting "The Friends of Kathleen and May". I believe that this ship does not appear on Ships AIS. I hope this solves the problem.
I was a pupil at the Secondary Technical School, Swansea in the 1950's and the Engineering Drawing Office overlooked the North Dock Basin and Weavers Shed (now Sainsburys Swansea Quay Parade) and remember seeing the "Ghost Ship" Kathleen and May in the basin a few times ... once seen never forgotten!

Kathleen and May is the last remaining three masted topsail schooner still sailing and trading in British waters. For more information and photographs, visit:
