Hercules over Pembrey

![]() | The Lockheed C130 Hercules is the work horse of armed forces, commercial cargo operators and aid organisations around the world. From our lookout we see these aircraft flying low level on training exercises. These photos were taken locally. One particular part of the crew training, which reflects their current role in Afghanistan, involves practice landings on Cefn Sidan sands near the Pembrey range about 12 miles (19 km) to the north of our lookout. There is an excellent photo of an RAF C130J performing one of these landings here. Please scroll to the bottom of the page. Click here for one of the videos on YouTube. |
