1941 - On 21 March 1941 (the same day as when the London II was bombed) the Millisle en route from Cardiff to Cork with a cargo of coal was bombed. She sank two miles east of the Helwick lightship. Nine of the crew and the gunner were drowned. (ref 175)Latest Articles
