1871 - The Cornish Diamond of Truro had been en route from Newport to Plymouth when disaster struck. The first that was known of the wreck was when a waterlogged small boat with two bodies aboard was found floating among wreckage off Mumbles Head. The boat was marked with the name of Samuel Dunstone, who, it turned out, was master of the Cornish Diamond. More wreckage - which might otherwise have been unidentified - came ashore later in Bracelet Bay. (ref 160a)Latest Articles
