George

1820 - The George, carrying copper ore, was wrecked near the Worm on the afternoon of 21 January (cf. John and Bounty Hall). Two of the crew leapt successfully ashore, while the two left aboard took to the rigging. They were rescued by a line thrown from the shore. (ref 127a)
