1912 - The Charioteer, a Swansea tug, was run down off Port Eynon by the 2000 ton Cunarder Veria of Livepool and, in spite of efforts to save the crew, was lost with all hands. [See full account of the disaster in Robert Carl Smith's Gower Coast Shipwrecks] (ref 149)
