1911 - The Wiln of Fowey, a 136 ton schooner bound from Devonport to Llanelli with a cargo of steel scrap, was in collision nwith the Liverpool steamship Irena while standing off outside the Burry Estuary. Three men including the master of the boat drowned and another man died of exposure after being rescued. (ref 107)Latest Articles
