1819 - The Bounty Hall, an East Indiaman of 700 tons with a cargo of rice, spices and sugar, cam ashore undamaged at Llanmadoc. The cargo was off-loaded with the help of the local villagers and the vessel refloated. It was notable, and unusual, that five days later when officials arrived to collect it, the cargo was recovered in full. (ref 002)Latest Articles
