Arietta
1848 – The Arietta, a barque, inward bound from Cuba laden with copper ore, struck the outer edge of the Mixons in hazy conditions. One man fell overboard and drowned during the rescue. Fourteen seamen were saved. The vessel broke up. (Ref: 100)
