1916 – The Olga, a 260 ton Russian schooner from Moss Point, Mississippi, heading for Swansea with pit props on board, pulled her anchors in heavy snow and hurricane force winds. She was driven on to Mumbles Head. The crew got off with the help of the lighthouse keepers but the ship broke up. (Ref: 097)
