Mercia

1916 – The Mercia was a Swedish ship on voyage from Bilbao to Swansea with a cargo of iron ore.   In a blinding snowstorm she ran aground at Pwlldu Head.   She broke in two a couple of days later but in due course her cargo was salvaged. (Ref: 083)
