United Friends
1894 – The United Friends was a smack from Plymouth with a cargo of coal. With a north-westerly gale blowing she tried to shelter in Oxwich Bay but, in spite of having three anchors deployed, she began to drag inshore. The lifeboat launched in response to distress rockets and was in time to rescue the crew. (Ref: 073)
