1920 – The Primrose was a sailing vessel, a former Cardiff pilot skiff, en route for Ireland but driven ashore at Oxwich Point. Would-be rescuers were appalled when the lone sailor, preparing to abandon ship, was killed by the falling mast. His body was recovered and is buried at Oxwich. (Ref.066)
