NCI Cornwall today [03 August 2010] received the Queen’s Award For Voluntary Service at a highly successful and enjoyable presentation and lunch held at Truro School by kind permission of Paul Smith the Headmaster and our Nominator. All 13 Cornwall Stations turned out making a total of nearly 200 at the presentation made by Lady Mary Holborow, Lord Lieutenant of the County to Jon Gifford. Local press coverage is very good and we had two mentions on BBC Radio Cornwall this morning. Another major bonus is that BBC Spotlight have now said they wish to run a news feature on us in the very near future - all in all a great day.
