1819 - The Bounty Hall, an East Indiaman of 700 tons with a cargo of rice, spices
and sugar, came ashore undamaged at Llanmadoc. The cargo was off-loaded with
help of the local villagers and the vessel refloated. It was notable - and unusual -
that five days later when officials arrived to collect it, the cargo was recovered in
full. (Ref. 002)
